The Party is a banner, a banner guiding the Chinese people forward; the Party is a banner of strict self-discipline and continuous progress; the Party is a banner of loyalty to the people and service to the people. The golden hammer and sickle on the Party flag shine with the brilliance and glory of distant times. Gently opening the stream of memory, in my childhood, the Party in my heart was the rumbling cannon fire reflecting the red flag; the resounding military songs of the People's Liberation Army as they bravely advanced, conquering cities and fortresses; the red star that Pan Dongzi yearned for; the lamp lit in the octagonal building; Liu Hulan's triumphant song of "Great in life, glorious in death"; Jiao Yulu's dedication to the cause until his death, leaving a new life for the people of Lankao… Party! You are a beacon, forever illuminating our path forward; Party! You are a great mother, nurturing millions of Chinese sons and daughters. We must work hard, strive for excellence, and achieve outstanding results to bring glory to the Party and add luster to the country!
The birth of communism in China truly foreshadowed a momentous revolutionary struggle. At that time, the Party was distant and mysterious in the hearts of the Chinese people. From the painted boats on Nanhu Lake to the Pagoda Hill in northern Shaanxi, from Jinggang Mountain to Yan'an, from the Four Crossings of the Chishui River to the million-strong army crossing the natural barrier, a legendary scroll unfolded. Our Party was able to grow from nothing to something, from small to large, from a spark to a prairie fire; we continue to sing "Without the Communist Party, there would be no new China" because our Party is a party armed with Marxism, a party that works entirely for the welfare of the working masses. Therefore, our Party is the most selfless party, and our members are the most fearless heroes. The Party is a pillar of support in the hearts of the people. The devastating 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake will forever be etched in our memories. Faced with this cruel disaster, Communists bravely and fearlessly became the "vanguard" of earthquake relief and the "close confidants" of the affected people. As the peaceful sunshine bathes the earth, under the azure sky, the Party flag flutters, spiritedly displaying the spirit of contemporary China. We believe that on the stage of history, our great China, under the leadership of the great Communist Party, will continue to write glorious chapters.
"We sing 'The East Is Red,' standing up as masters of our own destiny"—this beautiful and moving song expresses the heartfelt sentiments of hundreds of millions of Chinese people! We know that after the Opium War of 1840, old China was reduced to a semi-feudal, semi-colonial society. The people lived in dire straits, struggling on the brink of death. Wave after wave of patriotic individuals and ordinary people, unwilling to accept the nation's demise, rose up in resistance, but all ended in failure. Then, in 1921, the Communist Party of China brought the dawn of hope to the people of Shanghai, and the revolutionary cause of the Chinese people embarked on a hopeful journey. In the smoke-filled years, in the flames of war, it was the Party's guidance that led millions of working people of China to achieve happiness, granting freedom to the people oppressed by the three great mountains of feudalism, bureaucracy, and bureaucracy. In 1949, the ancient city gate, weathered by centuries of storms, combined with the thick Hunan accent of a great leader, composing the most magnificent and beautiful music in the world: The People's Republic of China was founded!
The Chinese people have stood up! These few words are the greatest combination of Chinese characters since their invention. From Mohe in the Northeast to the ends of the earth, from the shores of the East China Sea to Alashankou, from the Central Plains to the Himalayas, 96 million square kilometers surged like waves, erupted like a volcano. China has never experienced such immense happiness, and the sons and daughters of China have never shed so many tears of joy. Such a revolution is rare in the entire history of humankind. Two great rivers roared simultaneously, countless beautiful mountains danced hand in hand, and the world's most populous nation emerged like the majestic Kunlun Mountains. All of this is thanks to the great Communist Party of China. It is the Party that has saved the country and the nation from crisis time and time again. In the hearts of the people, the Party is a beacon; in the hearts of the Chinese people, the Party is a giant. It embodies the boundless wisdom of the Chinese nation and the collective strength of its leaders. Let us look up and gaze upon the eagles soaring atop Mount Everest; upon the snow lotuses blooming above the snowline of the Tianshan Mountains; upon the roaring railway lines of the Beijing-Kowloon Railway; upon the five-starred red flag rising time and again at the Olympic Games—in this silent gaze, a silent song flows through our hearts. O Party, you will forever remain in our hearts!
The revolutionary road has been winding, arduous, and extraordinary, but it has never shaken the unwavering faith of the Chinese people. "You are a lighthouse, illuminating the darkness before dawn." Our predecessors also fought bloody battles, explored and sought the direction of the Chinese revolution. The Party is a tireless traveler, relentlessly searching and striving on its long journey; the Party is a fluttering flag, a guiding light, and an ever-shining sun! Regardless of the dust of time or the vicissitudes of life, the first generation of the Party's central leadership, with Comrade Mao Zedong at its core, led the people of the whole country in arduous struggle, relying on their own efforts to finally overcome the economic blockade and armed provocations of imperialism, successfully complete the Three Great Transformations, establish the socialist system, and truly enable the Chinese people to stand tall and
become masters of their own destiny. I think there are no flowery words to praise our Party, no beautiful clothes to adorn it, for it is simply so simple yet solemn! The Communist Party of China is the pillar of the Chinese people, leading them to create countless miracles. Now, the long river of time has finally flowed into the torrent of the 21st century. Facing the complex international situation and increasingly fierce competition among nations, the Party bears a heavy responsibility and a long way to go. Our Party has weathered storms and hardships, working diligently for decades, shattering the Western predictions that no one could solve the problem of food and clothing for the Chinese people, and leading the entire nation onto a path of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Hong Kong has returned, Macau has returned, and China has finally risen in the East, once again displaying the splendor of the Eastern dragon. Which other political party could create such miracles? Our ancestors began their journey in the primordial chaos, creating the splendid ancient Eastern civilization. Our Party, starting from ruins, raised the five-starred red flag, paving the way for the rejuvenation of China through reform. As young tax workers and members of the Communist Party, we have a responsibility to shoulder both opportunities and challenges, to let our wisdom and talent shine, to strive and forge ahead, to always uphold the leadership of the Party, and to build mountains from grains of gold and rivers from drops of silver. We will strive to fulfill the sacred mission entrusted to us tax workers by the Party in the new century.
