People living in the 21st century often feel unhappy. Today, life is affluent, the scenery is beautiful, and the future is bright, yet many still complain and blame fate.
While we are not millionaires, not the masters of the world, and certainly not embodiments of happiness, we have the love of our parents, the care of our friends, a direction to strive for, and good health—isn't that a kind of happiness?
Everyone's definition of happiness is different; in this world, happiness has both "material" and "spiritual" aspects. Some believe that possessing many things they like is happiness, which is not wrong—we cannot say that wealthy people are unhappy, but much happiness is obscured by money and power. Others believe that as long as they live a happy life, without worries, and have the company of family and friends, they are happy. In today's increasingly materialistic world, such people are becoming fewer and fewer. As the saying goes, "Money is an external thing; you can't take it with you when you die." When God closes a door, He opens a window. If you look closely, happiness surrounds you at all times. I think that people who feel unhappy either haven't been paying attention or have lost faith in their lives. Those who are clearly happy shouldn't have so many worries. Don't let worldly concerns influence you and bury your happiness.
Occasionally, pause from your busy life, reflect quietly, and look to the future. You'll discover that life itself is beautiful; you just lack the eyes to see it. Don't lose faith in life because of minor setbacks. Whether rich or poor, outstanding or ordinary, don't lose your appreciation for life, and don't let it become a regret in your life. Let us always believe—love is still there; the angels have just temporarily left.
