The long-awaited math class finally arrived, and today's lesson was designed to be fun. Before class, we asked the students if they liked math, and unsurprisingly, most found it too boring and uninteresting. Therefore, we prepared a one-minute mental arithmetic exercise, designed to both teach and enjoy the learning process. Arithmetic is one of the most fundamental mathematical concepts. Although simple, many students still trip over their stools during calculations, missing the correct answer. Therefore, we cleverly used simple yet effective methods to improve both speed and accuracy.
Due to time constraints, we mainly covered the exponential method and the universal method for multiplying two-digit numbers. The students responded enthusiastically, saying that the mental arithmetic method was not only fun but also very simple, and most importantly, it resulted in a very low error rate.
"Nothing is impossible to a willing mind." When learning problems, if one method doesn't work or is too difficult to understand, try approaching the problem from another angle; you might be surprised by the results.
