Walking Notes

Every evening after dinner, I take a short walk along the country lanes, chatting with friends, enjoying the scenery, and reflecting on my own life. Life doesn't need to be extravagant or luxurious, but it must have the attitude of "picking chrysanthemums by the eastern fence, gazing leisurely at the southern mountains." Only with a tranquil and detached mindset can one truly experience life and discover the small, beautiful moments of happiness.
The village scenery is naturally picturesque, a balm for the soul and a source of spiritual nourishment. As far as the eye can see, there are vast fields, verdant hills in the distance, and a pale white sky with wispy clouds drifting lazily by. I chat and laugh with friends, discussing the nameless wild grasses by the roadside, picking a few ripe fruits, and wondering about their uses. Today, a little guest arrived unexpectedly—a cute little boy who joined our walk after we greeted him. He had an adorable bun, big eyes, and a cheerful smile that revealed his little tiger teeth. He chatted quietly with us. It's a pity we didn't see the sunset today. The clouds at sunset are a beautiful sight at dusk, but it's okay, we can come again tomorrow.
We walked for over an hour, and on the way back, we passed the little boy's house. He politely told us he was going home, but as we approached his door, he lost his initial quietness and ran inside. Seeing this, I couldn't help but smile. Children should have a lively nature, unlike us who are so sentimental.
Even a walk can be a chance to savor life.
