My mother also left home today, carrying her suitcase to Shanghai, the city where she used to work. Although I was reluctant to see her go, I understood that she had her own mission to fulfill, so I simply watched her leave silently without saying a word to stop her. I saw a video on Weibo showing groups of soldiers saluting the martyrs and heroes, with leaders giving speeches, and a tombstone inscribed with "Remembering the fallen heroes on Qingming Festival, Eternal Remembrance for the Nation and the People."
