Can we live our lives undaunted by public opinion, following our own path? The answer is definitely no. As children, you could be willful and carefree, but now, as an adult, you represent not only yourself but also your family. As long as you live, you'll constantly hear various opinions, both positive and negative. Even after you're gone, these voices will still exist. Some might say, "Don't take yourself too seriously; who will remember you?" Yes, who will mention you a hundred years from now? But while you're alive, others' opinions become the first hurdle for most things.
You may have ignored social niceties for years, but time hasn't spared you. When others treat you like an adult, you inadvertently reveal childish words. It's then that you realize, amidst their laughter, how naive and ridiculous you've been. Some will say you're innocent, others will say you're foolish—a twenty-something-year-old still acting like a child.
You're always dissatisfied with the world, but what you're truly dissatisfied with is yourself. Because you're not good enough, you feel inferior and want to escape. But life often wakes you up, reminding you to take responsibility, so you're afraid, you're hesitant. You see many things aren't as you imagined, so you're disappointed, and you start to feel afraid again—afraid you'll become like them.
