A dream

The world is ending, and floods rage.

I am alone with a little girl I don't know.

She is searching for her father, and I am searching for my people.

My people are hiding everywhere, surrounded by enemies who want to kill us.

I disguise myself and hide beside her, wearing a man's mask.

The little girl sees a man who looks just like her father on a giant screen in the sky.

Her starry eyes ask me how to get there.

Along the way, she takes care of me, who has zero life experience, and I lead her back to that dangerous center.

She accidentally discovers that I am different, and I learn that her father died in front of her. She is trapped in a self-deceptive state, stuck in a point in the past.

The journey continues, through bitter winds and rain, the road to the center is winding and treacherous.

We never reach the center because she knows that if I go back there, I will be wiped out.

I take her there only to prevent her longing for her father from being shattered.

Even though we both know it's a journey that will never end.

When I wake up, the feeling of loneliness and warmth is still there. Thank you for appearing in my life and letting me know that responsibility is actually a beautiful thing.
